Getting Through the Colicky Stages with Your Sanity Intact

Dealing with a fussy or sad baby is never a good way to start the day. If your baby is going through a fussy or colicky phase, chances are that you feel as if your sanity is going to be completely broken, and you want to find out away to make your baby stop crying and to keep your sanity as well!

The first thing that you have to come to terms with is that some babies simply go through an unhappy and colicky phase. This is really nothing that can be helped, and there aren’t any things that you can do to cure your baby of this. If your baby is going through one of these phases, the best thing that you can do is learn how to deal with it, and learn how to have the patience to wait it out, because you are going to need to have this patience as well as to be able to wait it out.

There are several things that you can do to make sure that your baby can get through this phase, and that you can get through this phase without going crazy. First of all, remember that the best thing you can do is try every trick in the book to calm your baby down. There are so many things that you might be able to do, and with fussy or colicky babies, the trick is to realize that each baby is going to respond to something differently, and you have to be sure that what your baby is responding to best is you and that you are able to help them figure out how to calm themselves. This means that there are so many tricks that might calm fussy and colicky babies, and you never know what is going to work for you until you’ve tried them all.

Some of the great ideas that you might be able to find will include home remedies, things that you can give your baby to stop the colic. They also might include doing things with your baby – like going for a walk or certain ways to hold your baby to make them feel better.

The important thing is that you keep trying new things until you find one that works for you. The other important thing is that you realize that this is a phase and no matter what you do, your baby will grow out of it and your lives will be happier once again.

That said, you should remember that a lot of the unintentional child abuse might happen with parents who get frustrated during this phase. Even parents who might not hurt their children willingly get frustrated with a child that keeps crying and won’t calm down. It is important to remember that colicky babies are often able to grow out of this phase. It is also important to realize that the colic itself doesn’t really hurt the baby that much, it simply makes them uncomfortable enough to hurt.

With that said, you have to remember that if your baby has been fussing for a long time, and you can see no way to calm him or her, and you feel like you are at the end of your rope, one of the things that you can do is simply put the baby down somewhere safe, and walk away for a few moments. This isn’t something that is going to cause the baby long term harm, and often colicky babies are able to fuss themselves to sleep and will wake up feeling much better. It is much more important that you walk away if you find yourself getting frustrated by a baby that won’t stop fussing.
