How to Make Your Kids Bath Fun
We all love our kids and want them to be happy, but there is nothing that some of them hate more than the bath.
Some kids just can’t stand to get in the tub at night but there are things that we as parents can do in order to
make our kids bath more fun.
Get Involved
One of the most important things of course when you are giving a child a bath is make sure that you are always
right there in the room with them. This is for the sake of safety more than anything, as a child is able to drown
in less than an inch of water and in only minutes.
Decorate, Kids Style
To make your kids bath more fun you may want to consider redecorating the bathroom a bit, making it kid friendly.
If the child has their own bedroom then this will be a lot more fun because you can really go all out, but even if
you just have the single bathroom you can still make it happen.
Buying a cartoon shower curtain or getting them their own squeeze bottle for the shampoo, simple things like this
will make them happy and make the bath more fun for them.
Bring Toys
If you want to make your kids bath more fun and enjoyable for the both of you, one of the best things you can do is
get some bath toys. A kids bath is really not a bath without toys, and this gives them something to do while they
are in there, something to keep them occupied. There are some terrific bath toys available these days, everything
from basketball nets that can be mounted to the wall of the tub to learning games that can be put under the
water.
Have a Routine
Kids never like to have things sprung on them, so the best way to make your kids bath more fun and less of a chore
is to make a routine out of it. If you prefer to give them a bath at night before they go to bed, then you need to
make sure you always have a set time to do it rather than just doing it whenever you feel like it.
This will make the child prepared for the bath each night and create less hassle each night when bath time rolls
around. You may also want to reward them each night after their bath, maybe by putting on a movie or giving them a
treat. This will teach them that if they are cooperative and have their bath they will get a treat before they go
to bed each night.
By taking these helpful hints into consideration you will surely find that your child stops fearing the bath and
instead begins to enjoy and look forward to it.
