Breast Feeding and Human Lactation: A Boon From God
Breast feeding and human lactation is a boon for the babies. Whichever way you look at it, the baby greatly profits
out of this wonderful gift from his/her mother. Breast feeding and human lactation breaks (when mothers can feed
their babies) have been introduced all over the world. Many women who could make a wonderful career for themselves
prefer to stay at home specially because they cannot handle the job, taking care of the children and breastfeed the
child at the same time.
The Advantages Of The Breast Feeding and Human Lactation
The baby who is breast fed is stronger, more intelligent and much more accepted as a balanced person and has a
better immune system. There are many diseases that the breast feeding and human lactation will help with, such as
heart diseases, intestinal diseases, respiratory diseases, etc and common infections.
Some research studies also showed that the breast-fed children were more likely be immune against all the common
colds and other similar ailments. Breast feeding and lactation also seems to greatly benefit children who are
suspected of having asthma, allergy-related conditions and so on.
Other research studies have reported that colostrums (the first milk that comes out of the breasts after the baby
is born) is actually able to initiate faster rate of brain development than that of the children who have not been
fed in this way. The intelligence is high, they are active, they are hungry and they are generally well balanced
children.
The positive impact will reflect all over – the breastfed babies are not only extremely well disposed most of the
time, but also grow well. They tend to grow taller, are more intelligent, better sportsmen, and also healthier than
the babies who are not breastfed. There are many research studies that validate the fact that breast milk is indeed
a wonder elixir for children.
The advantage of the breast feeding does not end with human beings. Since we are on the topic, the milk of any
mammal has the same impact on their babies. Animals usually make excellent, good and caring parents. The milk that
cows, elephants, wolves, lions, dolphins, etc produce has a similar result on their young.
There is something great in milk. This affects equally all human beings as well as all the animals. The immunity
and good news that milk brings along with it is proportionate to the period of breastfeeding, age they started and
stopped, how often, and so forth. But even a little is better than none.
